GALLADA by Fatih Tutak: 10 Things to Know Before You Book

Plan a GALLADA dinner through verified facts: its Silk Road idea, sharing format, signature duck, current menu and booking decisions.

A contemporary dish from GALLADA by Fatih Tutak on a deep red background

GALLADA draws attention through its setting at The Peninsula Istanbul, Fatih Tutak’s direction and a Silk Road narrative connecting Turkish and Asian flavours. This is neither sponsored copy nor a first-hand review. It is an independent planning guide built by comparing the restaurant’s official page, its menu dated 24 April 2026 and the MICHELIN Guide listing.

The short answer: what kind of restaurant is GALLADA?

GALLADA should not be read as a conventional Turkish restaurant or merely a hotel terrace with a view. Its official menu places familiar forms such as pide and lahmacun beside dumpling, wok, soy and tandoor techniques. The MICHELIN Guide categorises the cooking under Asian influences.

The menu combines à la carte choices with larger sharing dishes. It therefore makes more sense for diners who read the menu and agree how to share than for a rushed, improvised dinner.

10 checks before booking

Do not make the decision from social media imagery alone.

  • The restaurant is inside The Peninsula Istanbul; allow time for arrival and entry.

  • The kitchen connects Turkish and Asian flavours through a Silk Road frame.

  • It is not tasting-menu-only; à la carte choices are available.

  • Many dishes suit sharing, so agree the table’s appetite in advance.

  • The signature tandoori duck takes 72 hours to prepare and is recommended for 3–5 guests.

  • Ask about availability of large-format dishes such as the duck when booking.

  • Communicate allergies and dietary restrictions in writing during reservation.

  • Treat a view request as a preference that needs confirmation, not a guarantee.

  • Recheck prices on the official menu on the day you visit.

  • Allow extra arrival time for Karaköy and Galataport traffic.

How to read the menu and prices

The official dinner menu separates starters, dough-based dishes, meat and seafood, and sides. The PDF available when checked on 12 August 2026 says prices were updated on 24 April 2026 and lists the signature tandoori duck at TRY 8,080. Do not treat that as a permanent price: season, supply and a new menu release can change it.

Budget for starters, sharing dishes, drinks and any service items rather than looking at one main course. The most reliable figure is the official menu displayed on your booking day.

Who is GALLADA best for?

It suits tables open to sharing, interested in Turkish and Asian flavours together, and prepared for a high-budget occasion. It may not fit diners seeking very fast service, a strictly traditional menu or a tightly limited budget.
