Photo sources
Choose Istanbul uses photography to help visitors understand a restaurant’s atmosphere and experience accurately. We treat transparent sourcing, respect for ownership and a fast response to concerns as core responsibilities.
Sources we use
We prioritize the restaurant’s official website, public official Instagram account and verified corporate channels. We may also use images supplied directly or licensed by a restaurant, photographer, agency or another rights holder. Where practicable, we retain the source link and the image’s relationship to the venue in our records.
Ownership and attribution
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Choose Istanbul does not claim copyright or ownership of published photographs. Rights in photographs, brand names, logos and other distinctive elements remain with their respective owners. Attribution and a prompt removal process do not replace a rights holder’s permission where permission is required.
Removal or correction requests
A restaurant, photographer, agency or other rights holder may ask us to remove an image, correct its source or update its attribution. When we receive a credible notice, we promptly take the image temporarily offline while we review it, then apply permanent removal, correct attribution or a source update after verification.

- A link to the relevant Choose Istanbul page or image
- Your relationship to the restaurant, photographer, agency or rights holder
- Your preferred outcome: removal, source correction or attribution update
We do not ask for unnecessary personal documents before a temporary removal. We may request only the additional information reasonably needed to verify the notice.
